Education

Here at WildThink, you can sign you and your colleagues up for a variety of workshops on collaboration, problem-solving, organization, and decision-making all led by our resident actor…

“Since I began my theatre career in 2009, I have been a part of over 50 projects in a variety of positions including actor, playwright, director, electrician, choreographer, and stage manager. And every time, come hell or high water, that curtain rose and fell on a completed production with dozens of moving parts running like a well-oiled machine.”

Let’s Play: Improv for the Boardroom

Not sure where to start? Let’s Play is the perfect introductory course into our methods! It teaches the basics of improvisation in an effort to get your team out of their shells, on their feet, and building confidence in themselves and each other! With a focus on creativity, expression, and collaboration, Let’s Play, is the perfect way to spend an afternoon learning unique and valuable skills while doing something many of us haven’t done since we were kids: having fun!

If you’re interested in a more detailed description of how theatre and improv skills transfer to your boardroom, take a look at Brielle’s articles, Why your executive should be consulting a theatre kid and Improv-ing your business relationships.

Know, You: Finding yourself and then some friends

Find out just what your colleagues think of you…and how that compares to how you think about yourself. Know, You is a program on branding the most important product: yourself. This workshop takes you and your colleagues through exercises encouraging self-reflection and contemplation on perceptions and wants. Ask yourself hard questions like “Who am I?” “What do I want?” and figure out how to exemplify your essence and your values in both professional and personal settings and relationships.

After all, if we don’t know who we are or what we want, how are we going to market ourselves to someone else?

Get Silly: Creativity and Brainstorming

Sit still! Stop that! Be quiet!

We’ve probably all heard teachers say these things, right? Well with this workshop, we’re shaking off all that “no” and reviving our inner child. Get Silly is all about breaking down our inhibitions and embracing that inner-silliness we all once had. In an ever changing world, innovation and creativity is paramount for a business’ success. But it’s no secret that in the “adult world,” the energy and the enthusiasm necessary to think outside the box has all been beaten out of us. Why? Engage in activities and yes, even games(!), that reignite those creative juices and help us move forward unabashedly excited!

I Feel…the art of Giving and Receiving Feedback

Sometimes we swing and we miss. But that’s okay! Everybody makes mistakes and everybody could use some (constructive!) feedback. But in a culture void of civil debate and teeming with cancel culture, sometimes it can be hard to truly speak our minds. Well, lucky for you, actors do this all the time – and they’re great at it! Using the invaluable phrase, “I feel.” When we’re talking about art, the outside interpretation can vary greatly from the artist’s original intent. For this reason, we’re constantly asking for feedback and we’re constantly receiving feedback. But there is a right way and a wrong way to go about this; in this workshop we’ll work on giving pleasant yet constructive feedback without hurting feelings or playing with egos.
